Artists Statement

My name is Jack Keough, but there are a lot of those, so I go by

Artist Jack Keough. I'm a 60+ year old figurative oil painter of my inspirations and rages in my sprawling lifetime, tilting towards the underdog.

I paint from meticulously cropped photos to achieve a different point of view of my common subjects, by playing with the interpersonal space to bring (you) the audience into the world of the subject.

I paint alone, in my cellar studio, with my collection.
